Benchdogs

Apparel Display

Project Details

A uniquely designed store-within-a-store concept that showcased a full array of “johnnie-O” apparel at the aptly named “johnnie-Oasis.”

Concepts

Bench Dogs collaborated with johnnie- O’s creative team to visualize the initial concepts. The overall design needed to fit within the condensed foot print of a tiki hut, while the individual displays needed to be durable enough to withstand the elements of a semi-outdoor environment. Situated at the John’s Island Club in Vero Beach, Florida, the open air space would display an arrangement of “west coast prep wear” in a vibrant, coastal setting.

Response

Bench Dogs provided a broad range of solutions for the client, including several value-added engineering components. To meet the time frame of the 35 day concept-to-delivery window, Bench Dogs worked swiftly to produce a fleet of display units, each with hand-stained finishes and precisely painted pinstriping. Utmost attention was paid to the durability of each material choice, to ensure that the surfaces could withstand the corrosive nature of the beach front.

Results

Bench Dogs produced 9 units in total, including a wall logo, large and small nesting tables, bar area and other display items. The client was thrilled with the final product and the high level of customer service received, which they described as “white glove delivery and installation with pre-assembled units that required minimal set-up”. The client was also happy with the incredibly high sell-through numbers within the initial 30 day window.
